Current Nassau Fishing Report
Nassau Fishing Charter's recent fishing reports from our docks show strong Wahoo action kicking off the new year, with anglers landing quality fish on trolled lures despite occasional shark interference.
Offshore trips are also producing scattered Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin tuna, Blackfin, and Skipjack Tuna.
Reef and Bottom Fishing remain consistent for Snapper and Grouper. The bite has been productive in deeper drop-offs and along the edge, with early morning and late afternoon outings yielding the best results.

January Nassau Fishing Forecast
January is prime time for winter species and pelagics in the Bahamas:
Wahoo — Peak season – fast, powerful runs and excellent table fare; target with high-speed trolling near drop-offs.
Tuna (Yellowfin, Blackfin) — Good numbers offshore, especially around current edges and FADs.
Mahi Mahi (Dolphin) — Present in good numbers, often around weed lines and debris.
Billfish (Sailfish, occasional Blue Marlin) — Possible for trophy hunters.
Inshore/flats: Bonefish are active year-round, with January being awesome for great fly fishing opportunities in shallow waters.
