Early July Catch Reports in Nassau Bahamas
Anglers are landing Mahi Mahi, with some decent length. These vibrant fish are abundant in offshore waters, particularly around weed lines and floating debris, where they school in large numbers. Trolling for Mahi is highly effective.
While Wahoo bites are slower in July compared to peak seasons (October to December), our anglers are still hooking these lightning fast fish. High-speed trolling with deep-diving plugs works best in deeper waters.
Currently, Blackfin Tuna are a reliable catch in offshore waters, often found in schools near drop-offs. Yellowfin Tuna are less common but present, especially in deeper waters beyond 20 miles. Book a Nassau fishing charter today to get you a tuna!
Inshore and reef fishing trips are yielding plenty of barracuda on our fishing boats. These toothy predators are aggressive, providing exciting light tackle action. Also, Lots of fun for younger anglers.
The coral reefs around Nassau are hotspots for Yellowtail Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and various groupers. Triggerfish are also prevalent, offering a strong fight on light tackle. Nassau bottom fishing with cut bait or live shrimp near wrecks and reefs is productive.
